When we visit Montreux, like staying here. Fairly clean and wonderful place, has brilliant views on the mountains and lake. The rooms are reasonably spacious with exceptionally comfortable beds and smoke detectors. A nice touch is also the welcome beverages in the downstairs bar.

The location was great for me, down the slope to the shops. It was also close to the lake below and the bus stop. Very near to the gorge, walkable distance to the train station and the other attractions.

The Staff was absouletly helpful, and kind. We had a surprise welcome drink which was a really kind. The staff was Very helpful to park our car, and look after it during the day(as it's parked on the streets). The rooms are great. And we got a room upgrade at the first day.

clean, nice breakfast
First problem: the hotel is located high at the hill ,long distance from center & lake and without any view of suberb lake and mountains. You have to change 2 buses to move around.1st from hotel to train station and then 2nd bus to any other place you want to go.It is really difficult to return to hotel after 8 pm as busses don't pass often.Second: the unfriendly staff. The ladies at the reception there are very nevrous.Third: the size of rooms. The standard room is very small. Its the bed and just a small coridor to walk around it.Fourth:they tried to overcharge us the room.Room was very small & we requested a bigger. The told us that the room we already had was the bigger room!!and that we had to pay a big difference to go to the "suite"....

The receptionist staff were really helpful! Checking in and out was very efficient. Moreover, I booked three nights at the hotel but did not check in on my first night due to unforseen circumstances. They very kindly waived their charges for the first night!
Tralala is located in the nice, atmospheric part of town which is unfortunately a little higher up the hill.

Very stylish. Small rooms but functional and well designed. Clean and new Parking just behind hotel but only two spaces so book in advance.
The first Thursday of the month is the 'after work' party which is a disco until the early hours in the reception and breakfast area in the hotel. It is very very noisy with people talking and shouting in the street until 3am! If you are a party animal you will love it, but if you want to sleep, think again. I think it is only once a month.
